Why become a board member of GloSS in 2016–2017?

Only three weeks left in Gothenburg and only one(!) as a member of GloSS. I'm feeling so proud over everything we have done together as an organization. Not only have we started this association, but also managed to get new, active and enthusiastic members, provoke thoughts about social aspects of sustainability, share ideas and get support from each other for our best and craziest initiatives.

As it will soon be the time for a board change, I thought I'd share my thoughts about why you should nominate yourself and your friends as board members for the next GloSS-year 2016–2017.

1. It is fun to bring forward issues you actually care about.

2. You learn so much about running an association, organizing events, communication, marketing, management, team work, applying funding etc.

3. The best part is, you can actually choose what you want to do and learn about!

4. Friends - Gothenburg students sustainability network is full with inspirational, creative and like-minded people.

5. You know, friends are also networks when it comes to your future career.

6. Being an active member in a student association is a big plus in the job market. Many employers are looking for candidates who have shown interest in organizational activities outside university.

7. It's fun!

Please remember to send in nominations no late than Tuesday 20th of May. The new board will be elected in the annual meeting on the 24th of May. The meeting starts at 15.15 in Terassbaren Annedal. If you wish to vote in the meeting, please sign up for it at latest the 17th of May by emailing to us gloss@gota.gu.se.
