Jai Jagat!

Jai Jagat could be translated as "victory to the world" or "Victory for all" and is used by Ekta Parishad to point at the inequalities in the world.

On thursday night we hosted a movie screening in collaboration with Ekta Sweden, showing the movie Ahimsa. Ahimsa is a documentary on the theme of non-violent activism and it shows how Ekta Parishad uses non-violence as a method to strengthen landless people and influence the Indian government.

Ekta Sweden offered some delicious home cooked food, tea and coffee and we had such a good time hanging out with all of you in the couches at Terassbaren! There will for sure be more movie nights to come!
