A busy fall!

Have you had the feeling this fall has been even more hectic than it usually is? So have we! So busy we have not even had time to uptate the blog from our past two events - and there are yet two more incredibly inspiring events coming up in December which you absolutely cannot miss!
But first, a small update from the past two events:
GloSS invited the Swedish organization Kvinna till Kvinna to come play their roll play "Fred för alla" at our home campus School of Global Studies. In the roll play everybody get assigned different characters with different positions in a fictive society and act out peace negotiations. The play ends with a thorough discussion in which everybody gets a chance to reflect upon their character and also on our own society and how power relations and oppression sometimes make peace negotiations unsustainable.

Of course we also offered Fika before and during the activities!

The other event that was arranged this fall was held on a dark chilly November evening on which we snuggled up in Terassbaren in order to listen to Maria tell us about her experiences as an intern in Cambodia through the organization Erikshjälpen. Maria had many interesting stories to tell us and I think I can speak for everybody who was there when I say I walked out of there very inspired and excited to apply for an internship like this myself!

Hope to see you at the remaining events this fall. Next week at Frilagret at our evening on the theme occupation where we will learn more about the current situation in Palestine and Western Sahara and the week after that at the "sittning" for musikhjälpen we organize in cooperation with the Human Rights Group and Byrå 6! Didn't get a ticket yet? You have one more chance on tuesday when we will be selling them outside the cafeteria in Annedalsseminariet and at campus Haga. If you can't make it there tickets will also be sols during the opening hours of the expedition for Göta student Union at Studenternas hus!
See you soon!
Love, GloSS
